hi from calif and oregon

Hi all, My name is Jeanette, and I am glad to join this group. I am currently living in Oregon, for one year, with my DIL and GD (age 3 months), while her daddy, my son is in Iraq. My permanent home is in San Francisco, California. I have 4 grandchildren, two each. I am retired, due to on job accident which left me 100% disable. I like to crochet, mainly clothing items such as dresses, tops. I even crocheted the wedding dress for my DIL. I am learning hairpin lace, tunisian, and broomstick lace crochet. Beginner knitter. I also like to other crafts like cross stitch, sewing, paper crafts. I like to read, do cross word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling. Basically I like to keep busy, used to be a work aholic, so having been forced to retire was really hard on me.

welcome to the group. Its great to have you on board. My husband is returning very soon from Iraq. He has been there for four months now. Please thank your DIL for me for her sacrifice. (because us wives do sacrifice too when our husbands serve over there)
